I love the Pacers…again.

I’ve noticed something peculiar lately. I find myself highly interested in the outcome of Pacers games. This has not been the case for several years . . . not since the fatal night of that ignoble brawl. Any Pacers fan will agree that the team began its long downward spiral at that moment. Reggie Miller retired the next year, and they’ve never been the same.

But things are starting to change.

Christmas + New Year’s + 1070 = One Happy Indy Sports Fan

The other day—I believe it was on Christmas Eve—I was driving through town and I switched the radio to 1070 WIBC to pick up some news. During the commercial break there was an announcement saying that WIBC would soon be moving over to FM 93.1 on December 26th. All the local news, weather, traffic, etc. would be moving to a new “crystal clear” FM station. Meanwhile, all of the local sports coverage would stay on AM 1070, which would be newly dubbed “The Fan”.

“The Fan”, you say? I was intrigued. But I had to wait.
