Okay, I’ve been waiting patiently for the top 10 for nearly two weeks now.. this is just mean.

    :)

Haha. :) I didn’t think anyone was really reading these right now since most people are at camp. I like to spread them out to increase the suspense.

But frankly I’m getting pretty tired of it. Hopefully we’ll be done with this stupid list by the end of the week. Hopefully….

Seriously though Jonathan, this is come incredible work. How long did it take you to write all that?? Was that something you had lying around and just decided to make public? Either way, props to you for categorizing so many scores. :)

Hehe. Well, I just sort of thought about it one day at work. You know…thinking of something to post about. Well, I love film scores and I’m always thinking about them, so why not do a post on my ten favorite? But then I just kept thinking of more and more movies and I had to eventually write them down and then put them in some kind of order. Seventy-four was an arbitrary number that I thought was kind of funny, so I just stuck with it.

I’m glad that I’m almost done though, because it’s really started to become laborious and I’ll be thankful to have something new to write about. Never thought it would get out of hand…like this…

    But, I must…finish…the list…must…go…on….

Lol. Well I’m looking forward to seeing your top five.

Hehe, I remember when this list was just a bunch of film scores jotted down on a piece of college ruled notebook paper. And that was only like 2 weeks ago.

I like how you threw the runners-up in there, which by the way contained some scores i thought for sure would be in your top 10 (like Legends of the Fall), because this way we are all left wondering what the heck is left! Besides Star Wars, of course.

Oh, and thanks for the shout out on A Beautiful Mind!

  7. jonathanephraim said

Yes, Brian. Beautiful Mind was all for you. Well, and the fact that I’m sure it probably is a good score, too. If I could just watch it now….

Rab and I watched Bridge to Terabithia last night…couldn’t stop laughing on some parts, remembering Caleb in his viking pigtails…or that smarmy old dad figure you portrayed so well. Pretty hilarious…and sad……?

No one who saw that skit will ever be able to watch the movie with a straight face again. Especially the vine-swinging part.

  9. jonathanephraim said

Yeah, it’s kind of weird having seen the skit before the movie. The vine-swinging part was probably the funniest…and every time I thought about Caleb in the viking hat (“for permanent?!!!”) I just lost it.
