Quiet Strength
July 15, 2007
Today as I was browsing BORDERS, I found myself skimming through several pages of Tony Dungy’s new memoir “Quiet Strength.” Right near the end I read this:
“My purpose in life is simply to glorify God. We have to be careful that we don’t let the pursuit of our life’s goals, no matter how important they seem, cause us to lose sight of our purpose.”
What a simple message, which seems to solve so many problems in itself. If our chief purpose in life was simply to glorify God, don’t you think our many cares and priorities would just fall into place as they should? It’s amazing how often I forget this.
